As a 2005-2006 Borchard Fellow, Anne is the staff attorney at SeniorLAW Center for the Seniors As Parents Family Law Project. Her project focuses on providing both English and Spanish-speaking seniors raising minor children with greater stability in their homes. She achieves this objective through the provision of legal services, referrals, and community legal education in their own language and in their own community. She also provides legal representation in the general areas of housing, personal planning, consumer protection and other domestic issues.

In addition to direct legal services, Ms. Armistead is developing a Best Practices Handbook for attorneys and other service providers of senior kinship caregivers. The Handbook will include resources for senior kinship caregivers, as well as information about the needs of kinship care households, and possible funding sources for kinship care projects.
